Seven People Including Two Drivers Have Been Hospitalized After Car Crash In Palm Beach County
A yellow cab rear-ended another taxi on the Palm Beach County, sending the struck vehicle hurtling into people crossing the street, authorities said.
Both drivers and five pedestrians were rushed to hospitals following the crash. Three people were in serious but stable condition, according to the Florida Highway Patrol officials
The chain-reaction mishap unfolded with one cab at a light on Hobe Sound waiting to turn onto another street in the county, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.
That taxi was rear-ended by another cab, propelling the stationary vehicle into the pedestrians in the crosswalk.
No charges were filed, but the incident remained under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol.
The collision came just days after a deadly crash in which a green taxi jumped a curb and mowed down several people waiting at a bus stop in Martin County.
A 9-year-old girl, a 8-year-old and a 21-year-old man are all in critical condition, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The main cause of the crash is still unknown and Florida Highway Patrol is urging anyone with relevant information concerning the crash to contact the Palm Beach Sheriff Office.
