28-Year-Old Woman Accused For Car Accident That Left Several Critical
A 56-year-old lawyer from Martin County has been cited in a crash west of Jensen Beach that sent a car into a canal, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office said.
The 56-year-old, who lives west of Port Salerno, was at a red light on Hobe Sound Boulevard was turning right onto Hypoluxo Road when his Toyota SUV collided with a Mercedes Benz, the Palm Beach sheriff’s office and the Florida Highway Patrol officials said.
The Benz then struck a Toyota Tacoma driven by Lauretta Green of Delray Beach, who lost control and went through a metal guardrail and into a canal, according to a report.
The 28-year-old was pulled from the water in critical condition, the report said.
Several other victims were listed in the report received minor injuries, the report said.
In a court hearing, the 28-year-old was declared at fault and cited for violating a traffic signal, according to the sheriff’s office and court records.
The crash is still under investigation. Anyone with relevant information concerning the car accident is asked to contact the Florida Highway Patrol Department.
