Car Crash In St. Lucie County Critically Injured Two People
Port St. Lucie police and the Florida Highway Patrol said a 47-year-old Palm Beach man was critically injured after his vehicle lost control and hit a 2015 Ford Expedition.
The wreck happened on SW Crosstown Parkway near the intersection of SW Fairgreen Road in St. Lucie County. Police Investigators and the Florida Highway Patrol said their preliminary investigation revealed the driver, Leonard Vince Brown of Port St. Lucie, was traveling in a 2004 white Honda Accord west on SW Crosstown Parkway.
As the car traveled west, the Accord hit a curb on the right side of the road, causing Vince to lose control.
The vehicle then traveled across all westbound lanes, jumped the curb and came back on the road, and struck a 2015 Ford Expedition that was heading the opposite lane.
Vince was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. St. Lucie County Fire Rescue and the Florida Highway Patrol officials arrived transported him to a nearby hospital.
The driver of the Ford Expedition also sustain minor injuries and was also taken to a nearby hospital in Port St. Lucie. Two of this passenger were also critically injured.
Investigators are still working to determine the cause of the wreck. No trace of drugs or alcohol were found at the scene of the crash.
The St. Lucie County Police Department and the Florida Highway Patrol is urging anyone with relevant information concerning the crash to contact the Florida Highway Patrol officials.
