A woman was hospitalized after a two-car crash that closed northbound lanes of Jensen Beach in Martin County for several hours.
Emergency Services and the Florida Highway Patrol officials were called to the collision, which happened in the northbound lanes near the Port Salerno Road exit.
A 53-year-old man, a 30-year-old woman and a 41-year-old were taken to Broward County Hospital with serious injuries, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The 30-year-old Delray Beach woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was taken to a hospital in Martin County, as her injuries were believed to be critical.
Another 53-year-old Martin County man was also taken to the hospital with severe injuries and later died at the hospital.
There were reports one of the vehicles was driving in the wrong direction before the crash.
The northbound lanes of the Hillsboro Beach were closed to traffic for more than three hours but have since reopened, according to the FHP.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating and are appealing to anyone with information to contact Florida Highway Patrol.
