35-Year-Old Man Responsible For Triggering Car Crash That Critically Injured Four People
A driver speeding on a rain-slicked Palm Beach County road slammed into another car, critically injuring at least four people while a baby was miraculously unharmed, the Florida Highway Patrol officials said.
The collision happened when a southbound 1990 Chevy pickup truck, driven by a 41-year-old man, veered into the northbound lanes on Wellington Road police said.
The 41-year-old Chevy driver rammed into a 2014 Nissan Altima, which had four adults and a 7-month-old baby inside, police said.
The 41-year-old driver and three of the Altima’s occupants were critically injured, police authorities and the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Four people called 911, with at least one reporting the driver had been driving erratically just before the crash, a Palm Beach County Police spokesman said.
Cops didn’t immediately know if the 41-year-old driver had been drinking.
“The role of alcohol is yet undetermined and that will be a part of the investigation,” the Police Chief said.
Florida Highway Patrol officials are urging anyone with relevant information concerning the crash to contact either the Palm Beach Sheriff Office or the Palm Beach Sheriff Office.
