Isaac James, driving a 2007 Nissan Maxima, hit the back of a 56-year-old Port St. Lucie resident driving a 2007 Dodge Ram truck near mile marker 94 north of the Palm Beach County border, Florida Highway Patrol officials said.
The 56-year-old pulled his vehicle onto the shoulder of the highway while Isaac veered onto the other side of the road into the median.
Isaac got out of his car and tried to cross the roadway to speak with the 56-year-old, but was hit by an oncoming 2011 Honda CR-V driven by a 34-year-old man of Port St. Lucie.
