A Palm Beach County man was killed on his wedding day when a Honda Accord carrying him, his new wife and friends crashed.
Friends and family were mourning the deaths of Davidson Muller of Wellington, and his 26-year-old friend Janet Benjamin, who was killed in Palm Beach County when the Honda driver lost control, FHP authorities said.
Davidson had married 41-year-old Juliana Kings before the crash, Florida Highway Patrol reported. Juliana was in critical condition, as was the driver.
A Palm Beach County Sheriff said, that alcohol likely was a factor in the crash based on statements of people who were at the wedding reception, but that hasn’t been determined for sure.
The Sheriff said the four had gone to Davidson’s house and were returning to the wedding reception at a private barn. The Honda drove off the left side of the road and struck an embankment and a truck before rolling several times and coming to rest in a cornfield, the sheriff’s office said. Investigators don’t believe anyone was wearing a seat belt.
Janet and Davidson had to be extricated from the wreckage, a sheriff’s office report said. Janet was dead at the scene and Davidson died later at a hospital.
A lady said her friend Davidson was like a brother to her.
The truck driver was uninjured.
