A Martin County man is accused of speeding through a red light and causing a crash near the Martin County Clinic that critically injured a 32-year-old woman.
A 41-year old is charged with aggravated vehicular homicide. He was arrested after the crash and is expected to make his first court appearance.
A 32-year old woman was killed in the crash, according to Martin County police officials and the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened in a neighborhood in Jensen Beach.
The 32-year old, in her 2014 Honda CR-V, was driving east on Jensen Beach Blvd., court records say.
She had a green light and was waiting to turn left on Greenriver Pkwy at the intersection when the 41-year old, in a 2011 Chevy Equinox, sped through a red light driving south on East 105th Street, according to court records.
The 41-year old driver according to police officials wasn’t severely injured and it has not been decided if he will be charged or not as investigations are still ongoing,
