Two girls were critically injured and two others were left with minor injuries in a car crash in Port Salerno, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
14-year old Eve Grey was pronounced unconscious at the scene, one other 8-year old was airlifted to the hospital, while two others were at the crash scene with minor injuries.
FHP officials said. All were residents of Port Salerno.
FHP Deputies said a 33-year-old man was driving a 2007 Toyota with seven other minors in the car when he lost control on the 1200 block of Northwest 15th Street.
The car then veered off the road, hit a Toyota Corolla and a metal pole of on the railway’s crossing arms, and rolled over landing upside down on the railroad tracks, according to the sheriff’s office.
Investigators said the car was reported stolen from Coconut Creek.
Three other teens, ranging from ages 13 to 17, were taken to a hospital in Jensen Beach for varying degrees of injuries, the Martin County Sheriff office said.
Three people in the Corolla were also listed in critical conditions.
Florida Highway Patrol Deputies are still investigating the main cause of the car wreck and urges those with relevant information concerning the crash to contact the FHP department.
