Ford Mustang Crash In Boca Raton Left Two People And An Infant Critical
Three people including one infant were injured when an out-of-control Ford Mustang plowed through a packed Boca Raton bagel shop, covering customers under a pile of broken glass and tables, officials and witnesses said.
Several people were eating breakfast inside the shop in Boca Raton when the truck suddenly came smashing through the wall.
“When it first happened, it felt like an explosion,” said a 26-year old employee who was behind the cash register and watched in disbelief as his customers started flying around the store.
“The walls started to crash and falling down and all the dust and glass exploded from it.”
The employee said a woman in her 20s who had been sitting with her mother-infant child were thrown to the back of the shop and pinned, he said.
Police said the Ford Mustang driver lost control as he was traveling down Wellington, clipped a parked car near at a nearby road and continued half a block, rocketing toward the crowded shop.
The injured victims were taken to a hospital in Broward County. The Florida Highway Patrol said investigations are still ongoing and urges anyone with relevant information concerning the crash to contact the department.
Attorney Jason Weisser of Shuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded about the crash. “Be especially careful when entering an intersection with many local business present. If you were involved in an accident due to someone else being distracted, call me for a free consultation so we can discuss your rights and what compensation you may be entitled to.”
