Vehicle Crash In Boca Raton Left Two Women Critical

Two women were injured in a violent crash that took place in a Boca Raton neighborhood, a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman said.

Cameras at Family Grocery recorded the crash at Jupiter and Second Street, showing at one person being brought out from the vehicle and laying on the ground motionless

The recording shows a silvery BMW coming across Second, where there was no stop sign. Then another silvery car blazes down Swain runs the stop sign and tears into a corner of the BMW.

In fractions of a second, the BMW whips around. Debris sprayed off. The rear driver’s side door comes open, and at least two people flew out, landing near an ice cooler at Family Grocery. A wheel came off the BMW and rolls, coming to rest not far from the motionless person.

The driver of the BMW gets out, and bends over, holding himself up with his hands on his thighs. One woman in the BMW was thrown into an airbag close to the store’s security-gated front door; the security camera recording shows the roof crumpled above her head.

The recording shows a sheriff’s deputy and firefighters arriving and looking over the man near the ice machine. No one renders aid. He does not move.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman said three women were injured in the crash.

The crash is under investigation and a report will be released when details are available, FHP said.
