Three People Hurt After Rollover Crash Near PBIA

WEST PALM BEACH — Three people were hurt and one had to be cut out of a vehicle following a crash west of Palm Beach International Airport, authorities said.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said it was called to the crash, near Southern Boulevard and Caroline Drive, which is about halfway between Jog and Haverhill roads.

The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office reported that a woman and a teenage girl were in critical condition. Investigators identified the woman as Lawrie Molle, 50, of Royal Palm Beach, and the teen as Kiara Camacho, 17, of Greenacres. A child seated in back of a Jeep SUV driven by Camacho had minor injuries, the sheriff’s office said.  In total, four vehicles were involved.

According to a crash report, Camacho was driving west on Southern Boulevard when she lost control of the Jeep, possibly due to a deflating left tire. The Jeep veered into the path of a westbound BMW and was struck from the behind.

The Jeep crossed over the median and went airborne. It came down upon the left side of an eastbound Honda CRV driven by Molle. As the Jeep and the Honda separated, a fourth vehicle, a Ford 350 pickup traveling east, crashed into the side of Camacho’s Jeep.

Investigators say the BMW and Ford drivers each had minor injuries.
