47-year-old Woman Injured After Car Crash In Boynton Beach
A Port Salerno woman is in critical condition after a wreck that happened at the intersection of Old Boynton Road and Lawrence Rd in Boynton Beach, according to witnesses and the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office.
A 47-year-old woman was critically injured when the Mitsubishi 4-door car that she was driving went off the shoulder of the road, hit another vehicle, then stopped after hitting a street sign on Lawrence Rd, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and the Florida Highway Patrol.
The 47-year-old woman was driving her car west on Old Boynton Rd when she lost control of the car and crashed into a pickup truck driven by a 19-year-old Davie boy.
Firefighters had to use extraction tools to rescue the woman from her car, according to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue and Florida Highway Patrol.
The woman was hospitalized as a result of the crash, while the 19-year-old boy sustained minor injuries, according to the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office.
PBSO deputies said investigators are looking into alcohol or drug impairment as a possible cause of the accident.
