54-year-old Bicyclist Critically Injured After Being Hit By Black SUV In Lake Worth
PALM SPRINGS — A horrific car crash incident that happened south of Palm Springs left a 54-year-old bicyclist seriously injured, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office authorities said.
Pedro Montes was riding a bicycle south on Kirk Road south of the intersection of Lake Worth Road shortly when he was hit by a northbound Mazda CX-9 according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
The passenger side of the black SUV, believed to be a model made between 2007 and 2009, hit the front of the bicycle.
The driver of the black SUV was still at the crash scene cooperating with members of the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Montes was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach with serious injuries.
Palm Beach Sheriff County’s authorities say the black SUV has damage to the front passenger side.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department is asking anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact the crash investigator or the Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County to convey any additional information.
