22-year-old Daniel Sanchez Aguilar Of Pembroke Pines Killed After Colliding Motorcycle With Another Rider On Eastbound Sheridan Street

One motorcyclist has been killed and another critically injured after car crash that happened in Pembroke Pines, police authorities said.

The crash occurred in the 16900 block of eastbound Sheridan Street. Traffic is was rerouted around the area where the crash had happened for about four hours.

Preliminary investigations had showed that 22-year-old Daniel Sanchez Aguilar of Pembroke Pines was riding a Yamaha Motorcycle (2017 model) east on Sheridan Street.

A 19-year-old Jamal Corleto of Tamarac was also riding a 2011 Yamaha motorcycle eastbound on Sheridan Street.

Reports indicated that Aguilar motorcycle collided with Corleto motorcycle and both motorcyclist were ejected from their bikes, police said.

It wasn’t clear what had made the two men to collide, but police authorities said alcohol or marijuana wasn’t considered to be involved in the crash incident.

Aguilar was confirmed dead at the scene, officials said. Corleto was transported to Memorial Regional Hospital with severe injuries.

A traffic homicide investigation is ongoing and charges may be filed, officials said. Detectives are encouraging anyone with relevant information about the crash to contact the Pembroke Pines Police Department.
