Motorcyclist Killed In Port St. Lucie Crash

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (CBS12) — A 35-year-old man was killed in a crash on SW Gatlin Boulevard, Port St. Lucie police said.

Police say they responded to reports of a crash involving a 2018 Ford Mustang and a 1998 Suzuki motorcycle. A preliminary investigation revealed he crash happened on SW Gatlin Boulevard, just east of I-95 overpass in the westbound lane of travel that intersects with the northbound on-ramp.

The 20-year-old woman driving of the Mustang was trying to turn left to get on the northbound I-95 entrance ramp when the motorcycle crashed into the passenger side of the car, according to police. The 35-year-old motorcyclist died on the scene, while the driver of the Mustang wasn’t injured.

This incident is actively being investigated by Port St Lucie Police Traffic Homicide Investigators.
