Driver Killed In Crash In Fort Pierce

FORT PIERCE, Fl — A driver was killed after a fatal crash near Okeechobee Road in Fort Pierce. Police say speed and bad weather were contributing factors.

The crash happened on Okeechobee Road, just east of I-95.

Police said a man was driving too fast when he crashed into a tree. Fire rescue crews had to break through a window to get to the driver and extricate him.

The driver, a 27-year-old man of Fort Pierce, was flown to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center where he died some hours later.

Comments:

Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded about the crash.  “Whenever you are behind the wheel of a car, please make sure you are paying attention to all road signs and signals.  If you are in an accident where someone didn’t follow the posted signs or signals, please call me so that we can discuss your rights.”
