2 People Critical In Broward County Crash
BROWARD COUNTY, Fl — A 47-year-old woman and 62-year-old man from Okeechobee were in critical condition after a crash in Broward County, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said.
The crash happened just after noon on N Dixie Hwy and NW 3rd Street.
The man and woman were heading south on N Dixie Hwy while a pickup truck, driven by a 48-year-old woman, was heading north, according to FHP. The man lost control of his car and went across the centerline onto the northbound lane, right in front of the pickup truck.
After the two vehicles collided the man’s car went off the road and onto the east shoulder where it hit a concrete wall, according to FHP. The pickup truck came to a stop on the northbound lane, facing north.
The man and woman in the car were trapped in the vehicle. Rescue crew extricated them and flew them to the hospital, according to FHP. The driver of the pickup truck had only minor injuries.
This case is still pending an investigation.
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to distracted driving. “In my many years as a Personal Injury Lawyer I’ve helped many victims that were injured because someone was distracted and crashed into their vehicles.
