Turnpike Northbound Lanes Blocked In Martin County After Crash

MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. — All lanes are blocked on Florida’s Turnpike northbound in Martin County after a crash.

Officials say two trucks crashed near Mile Marker 133 and caused a chain reaction.

One of the trucks appears to have turned over and spilled gravel onto the roadway. Crews can be seen picking the gravel up now.

Several cars can be seen on a tow truck. Another car can also be seen flipped upside down on the side of the Turnpike.

According to authorities, there were no serious injuries.

Comments:

Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded about the crash.  “Driving the speed limit on Florida’s Highways isn’t just the law.  It may save your life by keeping you from being in an accident.  Unfortunately, in our practice, we have seen numerous instances where drivers blatantly violate these regulations, which results in catastrophic consequences.”
