Two People Sent To Hospitals After Crash On Interstate 95 Near State Road 60
INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A crash on Interstate 95 sent two people to hospitals with serious injuries and briefly blocked all southbound lanes near State Road 60, according to highway officials.
Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Yanko Reyes said the drivers of the two vehicles had serious but non-life threatening injuries.
One person was taken to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center and Heart Institute in Fort Pierce and another to Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital, Reyes said.
He said a gold Toyota and white Nissan were involved in the crash, which happened around mile marker 146, roughly half-a-mile south of State Road 60.
State troopers reported the crash and said all lanes on the interstate were open after some hours.
Miles of southbound traffic were affected by the lane closures.
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to distracted driving. “In my many years as a Personal Injury Lawyer I’ve helped many victims that were injured because someone was distracted and crashed into their vehicles. If you’ve been injured by someone because they weren’t paying attention to the road, please call me so I can help you get compensation for your damages.”
