One dead in Motorcycle and SUV crash in West Palm
WEST PALM BEACH – Authorities are investigating a fatal collision that involved a vehicle and a motorcycle in West Palm Beach.
The collision happened at Belvedere Road, west of Interstate 95. A southbound motorcycle ran into a sport utility vehicle that was traveling in the other lane, said Sgt. David Lefont, spokesman for the West Palm Beach police. The SUV had traveled east in the westbound lanes prior to the crash, he said.
Police confirmed that one person was deceased. There were no reports of other deaths or injuries authorities said.
The SUV was held at the scene as police investigated. Belvedere Road began to reopen a few hours later.
Anyone who witnessed the crash is asked to call the West Palm Beach Police Department.
