2 Killed In Semi-Truck Crash Near I-95 Ramp At Lake Worth Road
Florida Highway Patrol said a semi-truck crash resulted in the deaths of a 21-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man.
The crash happened on the I-95 southbound off-ramp at Lake Worth Road.
According to the crash report from the Florida Highway Patrol, the semi-truck lost control while negotiating a curve on I-95 southbound near Lake Worth Road. The truck swerved into a concrete barrier, bounced off, and hit a KIA Optima that was in the right lane.
The impact sent both vehicles into the metal guardrail on the right shoulder of the interstate.
Investigators said the driver and passenger suffered fatal injuries as a result. The driver of the semi-truck, a 65-year-old man, was not hurt.
According to FHP, the crash caused a fuel spill and hazmat crews were called.
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded about the crash. “Whenever you are behind the wheel of a car, please make sure you are paying attention to all road signs and signals. If you are in an accident where someone didn’t follow the posted signs or signals, please call me so that we can discuss your rights.”
