Indiantown Woman Flown To Lawnwood After Crash In Stuart

STUART— A 44-year-old Indiantown woman was flown to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute in Fort Pierce with serious injuries after a crash in Stuart.

Florida Highway Patrol spokesman, Yanko Reyes, said the agency was called regarding a crash between a Ford pickup truck and a Chevy Malibu sedan in the 3400 block of Southeast Iris Street in Stuart.

Reyes said the driver of the truck, a 19-year-old Stuart man, was backing up the truck and crashed into the left front side of the sedan which was driven by the Indiantown woman.

The 19-year 0ld was taken to Cleveland Clinic Martin South Hospital with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation, Reyes said.
