Students Injured After Pickup Crashes Into School Bus
DELRAY BEACH, FL — Some injuries were reported after a pickup struck the back of a school bus with students aboard, police said.
Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office said the impact of the rear-end collision was huge. It was unclear how many students were on the bus during the incident.
The pickup collided with the school bus near Seagate Drive and Tamarind Rd, the report said. It was not immediately known if the bus was in motion or stopped to allow children off when the collision occurred.
Details on if police closed the roadway were not immediately available.
Police were still at the scene investigating the cause of the crash. No further details were immediately available.
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded about the crash. “Whenever you are behind the wheel of a car, please make sure you are not being distracted by texting, talking on your phone or communicating with your passengers. If you are in an accident where someone didn’t follow the posted signs or signals, please call me so that we can discuss your rights.”
