Man Critically Injured In Fort Pierce Crash
FORT PIERCE, Fla.— A man is in critical condition after a hit-and-run crash near Sunrise Blvd, Fort Pierce police said.
The crash temporarily shut down northbound lanes of Sunrise Blvd and Wyoming Ave.
Police say two cars were involved in a minor fender bender near dusk.
A 46-year-old man, who was driving one of the cars involved in the crash, got out and walked on the road when a Nissan Frontier hit him, according to police. The driver of the Nissan Frontier took off but was found and detained.
The victim, who’s from Vero Beach, was taken to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center.
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded about the crash. “A Hit-and-run is one of the worst type of accidents. When that person that fled the scene is caught you have rights that are different then in a regular car crash. Make sure you speak to a licensed professional about your rights”.
