Man Suffers Medical Emergency Before Fatal Crash In West Palm Beach

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A 52-year-old man from Lake Worth died following a crash, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said.

“Fatal crash on Forest Hill Blvd eastbound just west of Congress Ave., has two lanes blocked at this time. Please use caution and avoid the area if possible,” the official report stated.

The crash happened just after noon.

Troopers temporarily closed part of Forest Hill Boulevard heading east, just before Congress Avenue. Yellow tape was seen around the traffic scene.

The driver suffered a medical emergency, causing him to rear-end the vehicle in front him, according to FHP. The driver was taken to JFK Medical Hospital, where he later died due to the medical episode.

The case is still being investigated.
