INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — A 26-year-old Vero Beach man was killed when he crashed his pickup in western Indian River County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at about noon on State Road 60 near 154th Avenue, troopers said. The pickup was traveling east when the driver lost control and drifted into the median then through the eastbound lanes and into the right shoulder of the road, according to the report.
The pickup overturned and crashed into a tree, FHP said. The driver, who was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
