Fiery Multi-Car Crash Leaves Motorcyclist Dead
PALM BEACH — A fatal crash on I-95 in the Palm Beach area left one person dead and a vehicle engulfed in flames.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a motorcyclist driving a Yamaha motorcycle was traveling north in the I-95 express lanes in the area of Belvedere Rd. The motorcycle then crashed into a Lexus sedan, Mazda SUV, and then a Chevy pickup truck.
As a result of the collision with the Chevy pickup truck, the motorcyclist was ejected and died at the scene, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The Chevy vehicle caught on fire following the crash. Everyone was able to make it out of the vehicle before it became fully engulfed.
The rest of the drivers and occupants of all the vehicles involved in the crash sustained only minor injuries.
The northbound lanes of I -95 are completely shut down at Belvedere Rd. Motorists are urged to seek an alternate route.
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to this accident. “It is so important to be aware of motorcyclists on the road because of the severity of their injuries in accidents. There was a public service campaign that encouraged drivers to look left, right and left again just to provide added protection to motorcyclists. If you were injured in an accident and want to discuss your rights, please contact my office for a free consolation”.
