Vehicle Sought In Fort Pierce Hit-And-Run Crash That Injured Bicyclist
FORT PIERCE, Fla.— A bicyclist is in critical condition after a hit-and-run crash, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
It happened just after dawn.
A pickup truck hit the bicyclist while making a turn onto Avenue D from Angle Road, according to FHP. The truck then fled the scene.
The bicyclist, a 44-year-old man, was taken to Lawnwood Hospital, where he’s currently in critical condition, FHP said. A witness described the truck as a black Dodge pickup truck with big tires and a roll bar in the bed of the truck.
Anyone with information on the truck or the driver’s identity is asked to call FHP by phone.
Comments:
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded about the crash. “A Hit-and-run is one of the worst type of accidents. When that person that fled the scene is caught you have rights that are different then in a regular car crash. Make sure you speak to a licensed professional about your rights”.
