Palm Springs Man Killed In Crash After Pickup Strikes Light Pole
WEST PALM BEACH — A Palm Springs man was killed in a one-vehicle crash in suburban West Palm Beach, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.
The man, 38, died after his 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 struck a light pole and a palm tree near the intersection of Congress Avenue and Gun Club Road.
PBSO said he was traveling southbound on the inside lane of Congress Avenue when the Chevy lost traction while attempting to cross into the center lane in front of another vehicle. The Chevy rotated clockwise before going off the right side of the road and striking the pole and palm tree.
The impact forced the vehicle to roll onto its passenger side.
The crash took place before dawn, PBSO reported. The driver died at the scene.
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to distracted driving. “In my many years as a Personal Injury Lawyer I’ve helped many victims that were injured because someone was distracted and crashed into their vehicles. If you’ve been injured by someone because they weren’t paying attention to the road, please call me so I can help you get compensation for your damages.”
