Lake Worth Beach Woman Killed In Fort Pierce Crash
FORT PIERCE, Fla. — A 53-year-old woman from Lake Worth Beach was killed in a crash on I-95, the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said.
The crash happened in the southbound lanes, just north of Orange Avenue, the Florida Highway Patrol said. The two left lanes were blocked for hours before reopening just before dusk.
A sport utility vehicle was heading south on I-95 in the center lane when, for unknown reasons, the driver lost control of the vehicle and went across the southbound lanes and onto the inside shoulder, according to FHP. The vehicle then hit a tree and flipped over.
The 53-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, died at the scene, according to FHP. The driver and remaining passenger were transported to Lawnwood Hospital with minor injuries.
This case is still pending investigation
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded about the crash. “Whenever you are behind the wheel of a car, please make sure you are paying attention to all road signs and signals. If you are in an accident where someone didn’t follow the posted signs or signals, please call me so that we can discuss your rights.”
