Head-On Crash Kills 70-Year-Old Indiantown Man
MARTIN COUNTY — A 70-year-old Okeechobee man was killed in a two-car collision in western Martin County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The collision happened on County Road 714 near Southwest Allapattah Road. A 20-year-old Indiantown man was driving a pickup east on C.R. 714, while the 70-year-old motorist was in a sport-utility vehicle headed west, troopers said.
The pickup drifted into the westbound lane and struck the left front side of the SUV, FHP said.
Martin County Fire Rescue declared the SUV driver dead at the scene. The pickup driver suffered minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to distracted driving. “In my many years as a Personal Injury Lawyer I’ve helped many victims that were injured because someone was distracted and crashed into their vehicles.
