Driver Dead, Passenger Injured In Fiery Car Crash
WEST PALM BEACH, Fl — A 54-year-old man has died following a single-vehicle crash in West Palm Beach.
The crash happened at 45th Street and Congress Avenue just before dusk.
According to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office, the driver was traveling northbound on Ocean Drive when the vehicle veered off the road hitting trees, a utility box, and a gas line. The crash resulted in the car catching on fire.
The driver became stuck inside the vehicle. Palm Beach County Fire Rescue pronounced him dead on the scene.
A passenger in the car was taken to St. Mary’s Hospital for his injuries. No word on his condition.
