Man Injured In Crash Involving Semi-Truck On I-95 In Lake Worth Beach
LAKE WORTH BEACH, Fla.— A man from Loxahatchee has been hospitalized following a crash involving a semi-truck and a minivan, Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said.
The crash happened in the northbound lanes of I-95 at 6th Avenue.
The minivan was severely damaged to the point where firefighters had to extricate the 64-year-old driver from the van. He was later taken to to St. Mary’s Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
All the northbound lanes were blocked off after the semi-truck jackknifed, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Two lanes were reopened after some hours, then all lanes were were later reopened.
The two men in the semi-truck, a 43-year-old man from Pompano Beach and a 64-year-old man from Palm Harbor, only had minor injuries.
No word on what caused the crash.
