Man Dies In Greenacres Crash
The crash happened when a car struck a car and killed a man in Greenacres, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.
Authorities are investigating the crash.
The crash near Haverhill Road and Lake worth Road killed one man of suburban West Palm Beach. He was a passenger in a green CRV driven by a 29-year-old who sustained minor injuries.
The car’s headlights were turned off when it sped into the intersection and ran a stop sign. Its front end had a collided violently with the rear of the passenger side of the Honda, investigators said in their crash report. The force of the crash threw the man from the car.
The driver ran away from the scene leaving the luxury vehicle behind, PBSO said. The sheriff’s office did not release a description of the driver.
The crash took place in a neighborhood of family homes north of Lake Worth Road and west of Haverhill Road.
It was not immediately clear if speed or alcohol played a role in the crash.
First emergency responders arrived at the site of the crash soon after the accident happened and the victims were transported to hospital for treatment.
This route is partially blocked due to the severity of the crash causing traffic delays.
