Motorcyclist Dies After Two-Vehicle Crash
A motorcyclist was killed following a crash with a car, the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office said.
The crash happened near Delray Beach between E Atlantic Avenue and S Swinton Avenue.
The man was riding a motorcycle east on Atlantic Avenue toward the intersection of Swinton Avenue when he crashed into a vehicle travelling south on Swinton Avenue, according to the sheriff’s office. The motorcyclist braked too hard to avoid the crash. But he got smashed into the steel guardrail on the side of the intersection, causing him to get thrown off the bike.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff’s office said. At this time, detectives believe that speeding and impairment may have contributed to the crash.
First emergency responders arrived at the site of the crash soon after the accident happened and the victim was pronounced dead on the scene.
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to this accident. “It is so important to be aware of motorcyclists on the road because of the severity of their injuries in accidents. There was a public service campaign that encouraged drivers to look left, right and left again just to provide added protection to motorcyclists. If you were injured in an accident and want to discuss your rights, please contact my office for a free consolation”.
