2 Men From Port St. Lucie Killed In Florida Turnpike Crash
PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla.— A crash on the Florida Turnpike killed two men from Port St. Lucie.
The names of the victims have not been released, other than their ages, a 34-year-old man and a 27-year-old man.
The crash happened in the northbound lanes near Indiantown Road in Palm Beach Gardens. The wreck shut down both sides of the highway for hours.
The Florida Highway Patrol said the crash involved a tractor-trailer driven by a man from Bushnell, Florida, a pickup truck driven by a 65-year-old man from Royal Palm Beach, and a pickup truck with four men from Port St. Lucie.
Investigators said the truck driver lost control of his big rig and crashed into the pickup truck in front of him. The load on the semi, a front-loader tractor, detached and landed in the southbound lanes of the Florida Turnpike. The driver of the pickup in the southbound lanes crashed into the front-loader tractor killing the two men.
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to distracted driving. “In my many years as a Personal Injury Lawyer I’ve helped many victims that were injured because someone was distracted and crashed into their vehicles. If you’ve been injured by someone because they weren’t paying attention to the road, please call me so I can help you get compensation for your damages.”
