Four Killed In Early-Morning Crash On I-95
PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — Four people were killed in a crash on Interstate 95 in Port St. Lucie.
Florida Highway Patrol says around dawn, a car was stopped between the right and center lane, southbound on I-95 near Gatlin Boulevard.
A second vehicle was traveling southbound and was not able to avoid the vehicle that was stopped.
After impact, both vehicles began to rotate counterclockwise, facing northbound in the southbound lanes.
A third vehicle, a tractor-trailer, was not able to avoid both vehicles.
The driver and a passenger in the first vehicle died at the scene. The driver of the second vehicle also died at the scene.
Another person in the first vehicle died at the hospital.
The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.
The investigation is ongoing.
