One Critical After West Palm Beach Car Crash
One person was injured after a red Lincoln and a silver Kia crashed near the intersection of Banyan Boulevard and Australian Avenue.
The West Palm Beach police said the Kia was making a right turn from Banyan Boulevard when the Lincoln hit the Kia.
The driver of the Kia was taken to a nearby hospital. The extent of his injuries is unclear.
Police officials are trying to determine who is at fault. There appears to be no witnesses.
The northbound lanes of Australian Avenue were shut down while traffic was diverted to Banyan Boulevard. Just the right lane of Australian Avenue was closed.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office had no immediate information on what caused the accident. Florida Highway Patrol reports the Lincoln went into the northbound lanes, through a guardrail and over an embankment before coming back on the right lane of Australian Avenue next to a creek near Wellington.
The Kia was headed to a concert at the Jensen Beach in Martin County before the accident happened, West Palm Beach Police officials said.
“If you have any relevant information relating to the crash, please call the West Palm Police Department or the Florida Highway Patrol” said a West Palm Police spokesman.
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded about the crash. “Be especially careful when entering an intersection with many local business present. If you were involved in an accident due to someone else being distracted, call me for a free consultation so we can discuss your rights and what compensation you may be entitled to.”
