Delray Beach Detective Arrested For DUI After Hitting PBSO Vehicle

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — A detective with the Delray Beach Police Department is facing DUI charges.

Police arrested the detective after he crashed his assigned unmarked patrol car into a marked patrol car with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office. He was off-duty at the time.

The crash happened near the intersection of Melaleuca Lane and Military Trail. No one was hurt.

The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office is handling the criminal investigation.
