Bicyclist, 64, Killed In West Palm Beach Hit-And-Run
WEST PALM BEACH — One man is dead after he was hit by a vehicle while riding his bicycle, according to West Palm Beach Police.
It’s unclear if the man, later identified as a 64-year-old man, was alive when police arrived.
Investigators learned he was driving westbound with traffic when he was hit by a Buick Verano which fled from the scene after the crash. Detectives believe the sedan may be damaged on its passenger side.
No arrests had been made in the fatal crash as of the time of this report.
Anyone with information about the crash is asked to contact Traffic Homicide Investigator David Streigold at 561-822-1900 or Crime Stoppers of Palm Beach County at 1-800-458-TIPS (8477).
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded about the crash. “A Hit-and-run is one of the worst type of accidents. When that person that fled the scene is caught you have rights that are different then in a regular car crash. Make sure you speak to a licensed professional about your rights”.
