I-95 Reopens After Two-Vehicle Wreck

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY — Two people were seriously hurt in a crash that blocked all northbound lanes of Interstate 95, officials said.

The two-vehicle collision – involving a semi-truck and a pickup truck – happened on northbound I-95 near mile marker 150, officials said. Two people were taken to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center & Heart Institute with serious injuries, Florida Highway Patrol spokesman Lt. Alvaro Feola said.

One person was taken by ambulance and the other was flown, Indian River County sheriff’s spokesman Maj. Eric Flowers said. An update on their conditions was not immediately available.

The northbound lanes on Interstate 95 reopened hours after the wreck, Florida Highway Patrol spokesman Lt. Alvaro Feola said.

Flowers said Florida Highway Patrol troopers will investigate the wreck.
