Northbound Congress Avenue Reopens After Tanker Crash At Gun Club Road

Northbound Congress Avenue was closed at Gun Club Road due to a crash involving a jackknifed tanker truck and multiple vehicles, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue crews are at the scene while debris is cleared.

Critical injuries were reported and victims have been transported to the hospital.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area of Congress Avenue until it is reopened following the crash.

Comments:

Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded about the crash.  “Cases involving accidents with trucks are always subject to heightened scrutiny because of the additional regulations placed on drivers of those vehicles. Unfortunately, in our practice, we have seen numerous instances where drivers blatantly violate these regulations, which results in catastrophic consequences.”
