Young Boy, Man Killed In Crash In Okeechobee

OKEECHOBEE, Fla. — A seven-year-old boy and a 27-year-old man were killed in a 3-car crash in Okeechobee.

The crash, which involved two pickup trucks and an SUV, happened along NW 192nd Avenue near NW 254th Street.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a pickup truck going northbound on 192nd Avenue hit the side of a trailer being hauled by an SUV in the southbound lanes. The pickup truck then hit the front end of a second pickup that was behind the SUV. The second pickup flipped over, killing the man and young boy. They were both from Okeechobee. Their names have not been released.

The 21-year-old driver of the first pickup truck and his 18-year-old female passenger are hospitalized with critical injuries. The SUV carried two adults and three young children. They were not hurt.
