Man From Stuart Killed In Hit-And-Run

STUART, Fla.— Investigators are looking for clues from the public in a hit-and-run that killed a man from Stuart.

The crash happened in the southbound lanes of State Road 713, the Florida Turnpike feeder road, near Winter Garden Parkway.

The Florida Highway Patrol found a 32-year old man from Stuart laying face down in the road, next to a blue Dodge Caravan parked on the shoulder. The victim has not been identified.

Investigators believe a silver Honda sedan hit the man. The unknown driver then made a U-turn, slowly drove past the scene and fled.

The FHP believes a second car may be involved.

Comments:

Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded about the crash.  “A Hit-and-run is one of the worst type of accidents.  When that person that fled the scene is caught you have rights that are different then in a regular car crash.  Make sure you speak to a licensed professional about your rights”.
