Woman Dies After Crash In Indian River County
A 61-year-old woman is dead after a crash in Indian River County.
The victim was driving a sedan northbound on 90th Avenue in the lane to turn left onto SR-60 with a red light at the intersection, the Florida Highway Patrol said. A pickup truck was traveling eastbound on SR-60 in the inside lane and approached the intersection during a green light.
The sedan failed to stop at the red light and went into the path of the pickup truck, causing the driver’s side to collide with the front of the pickup truck, troopers said.
The woman was taken to Cleveland Clinic where she later died, according to highway patrol.
The driver and the passenger in the pickup truck weren’t injured, officials said.
The collision is under investigation.
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded about the crash. “Whenever you are behind the wheel of a car, please make sure you are paying attention to all road signs and signals. If you are in an accident where someone didn’t follow the posted signs or signals, please call me so that we can discuss your rights.”
