Man Killed In W Seminole Blvd Crash
ST. LUCIE COUNTY — A Fort Pierce man died in a crash on W Seminole Blvd, officials said.
The crash happened when the man was driving a sedan southbound on W Seminole Blvd, according to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol. An 18-year-old Fort Pierce man, driving westbound on Walnut Crest Run, lost control of his sedan, went through a stop light, and hit the left rear of the man’s car, the report said.
The man’s car spun counter-clockwise in a southeast direction toward the east shoulder of the road, the report said. The man was taken to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center, where he died from injuries sustained in the crash, the report said.
After the impact, the 18-year-old’s sedan traveled southwest where the front of the car hit a tree. The 18-year-old and a 19-year-old female passenger sustained minor injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
