Motorcyclist In Critical Condition Near Greenacres
GREENACRES, Fl. — A 25-year-old motorcyclist is in critical condition after a crash, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office said.
The crash happened at the intersection at Forest Hill Boulevard and Sherwood Forest Boulevard.
A 2003 Chevrolet Blaze, driven by a 79-year-old man, was heading west on Forest Hill in the left turn lane for Sherwood, approaching the green light, while a motorcyclist was heading east on Forest Hill in the outer lane on his 2015 Honda CBR 500 motorcycle, the sheriff’s office said. When he entered the intersection, he tried to turn in front of the Chevrolet and ended up getting hit and ejected from his motorcycle.
The Chevrolet came to a stop on top of the motorcyclist.
He was flown by air to St. Mary’s Medical Center with critical life-threatening injuries, according to the sheriff’s office. The Chevrolet driver was not injured.
The case remains under investigation by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.
Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded to this accident. “It is so important to be aware of motorcyclists on the road because of the severity of their injuries in accidents. There was a public service campaign that encouraged drivers to look left, right and left again just to provide added protection to motorcyclists. If you were injured in an accident and want to discuss your rights, please contact my office for a free consolation”.
