Hit-And-Run Crash Injures 2 Pedestrians

Fort Pierce police are investigating a hit-and-run crash that happened in Fort Pierce.

Just before midnight, two pedestrians were struck by a vehicle as they were crossing the highway near the 3200 block of U.S. Highway 1.

Both victims were taken to Lawnwood Regional Medical Center. One victim is in critical condition and the other is in stable condition.

Attorney Jason Weisser of Schuler, Halvorson, Weisser, Zoeller and Overbeck responded about the crash.  “A Hit-and-run is one of the worst type of accidents.  When that person that fled the scene is caught you have rights that are different then in a regular car crash.  Make sure you speak to a licensed professional about your rights”.
