BMW Crashes Into SUV Sending Seven People To The Hospital
A black BMW rear-ended a SUV on the Upper West Side sending the struck vehicle hurtling into people crossing the street, authorities said.
Both drivers and seven pedestrians were rushed to hospitals following the smash, with five of those in serious but stable condition, according to the Florida Highway Patrol Officials.
The chain-reaction mishap unfolded with one cab at a light waiting to turn onto West 63rd Street, FHP said.
The SUV was rear-ended by the BMW, propelling the vehicle into the pedestrians in the crosswalk.
No charges were filed, but the incident remained under investigation by the Florida Highway Patrol Officials.
The collision came just days after a deadly crash in which a green Honda jumped a curb and mowed down several people waiting at a bus stop in Riviera Beach.
A 9-year-old girl and a 35-year-old man were killed by the green Honda, whose driver was stripped of his license pending a probe into why he lost control on Riviera Beach near East 170th Street.
Florida Highway Officials said the incident is still under investigation as charges have not been filed yet.
Anyone with additional information is asked to contact the FHP Department.
